SECRETS OF SUCCESS IN THE CHRISTIAN RACE

 “In this Christian race, you’re not supposed to do it with your own strength. That’s the reason most people are rising and falling. When you put the fear of God above the fear of man, God will show mercy on you. When you fear man, you’re reducing your blessing and promotion in life and shortchanging yourself. God takes pleasure in those that put His fear as their priority.”

 It was a great day yesterday Thursday 9th, January 2014 as my humble self and some invited Christian youth met Mummy Bamiloye at the Mount Zion Faith Ministries Head Office in Ibadan and she took us on an adventure through the scripture on how we can obtain our miracles from God amidst several life’s hurdles that confronts today’s Christian youth. She shared some deep secrets of how we can make success of this Christian race.

In her opening words, she quoted Psalms 147:10-11, which reads: “He delighted not in the strength of the horse: He taketh not pleasure in the legs of man. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy”.

BELOW IS A BRIEF EXCERPT OF HER ADVICE:    

“Don’t depend on man but God. Make God your first priority in life as a Child of God. As humans there are some things we need to pass through in this life before we can claim our miracles. God called David His friend because he depended so much on Him. Don’t put your trust in man. When you do, it will hinder your miracle and breakthrough in life. When you live for God, He will support you. The mercy of God will come upon those who look up to Him for help. Mercy is compassion which goes beyond sympathy but brings solution to all life’s problems and issues. In this Christian race, you’re not supposed to do it with your own strength. That’s the reason most people are rising and falling. When you put the fear of God above the fear of man, God will show mercy on you. When you fear man, you’re reducing your blessing and promotion in life and shortchanging yourself. God takes pleasure in those that put His fear as their priority. The fear of God will promote a man. When you fear God, you don’t need to be afraid of man. You need the mercy of God to live and prosper in this life. When you know God, live for that God and He’ll promote you. When God takes pleasure in you, He answers your prayers. When you fear God, you’ll be bold like a lion. When you take pleasure in God, He’ll promote you beyond your widest dreams and imaginations. Those who take pleasure in man don’t go far in life. Put your trust in God and not in man. If you want to go far in life, you’ve to be tested with trials. Many have been tested and have failed God. Let the fear of God be your priority this year and you will see how He’ll propel you to the top. You don’t need to look up to yourself to walk this Christian race, but only look up to Christ. Look up to God in humility of heart. Don’t sow bad seed in order not to jeopardize your future and truncate your glorious destiny. The power and boldness to run this Christian race from start to finish successfully is in Christ.”

She ended by saying: “When you’re committed to God’s work, you will be promoted by Him”

PRAYER:

Pray that God should remove from your life whatever will take His Goodness and Glory from your life; is it iniquities, laziness, lukewarm or lackadaisical attitudes to/in His service?
